If you have an event coming up, searching for a venue can be tough but help is at hand! We’ve catered at Manchester and Yorkshire’s top venues including weddings, parties, awards and conferences, so here’s our round-up of the best in the area.
Gorton Monastery – This beautiful monastery was built way back in 1863 and is so grand it has been given the unofficial name of the Manchester’s Taj Mahal! And who are we to argue? With a recently £6.5 million restoration project, this is a dream venue with super high arches and plenty of space making a fantastic backdrop for weddings and large parties. Take a look at their website.
Victoria Hall – This venue has several spacious rooms which you can use for event hire, making it a versatile venue with stacks of character. Opened in 1871 by Sir Titus Salt, this space is now owned by a charitable trust and has been modernised with heating and wifi (well, we all like a bit of wifi). Check out their super impressive decorated ceilings and their simple to navigate website.
Skipbridge – Like a venue with a difference do ya? You’ll fall in love with the delightful venue full of quirky touches out in the countryside. Situated between the equally beautiful York and Harrogate, this venue has the distinct USP of additional furry guests and feathered friends. You’ll find donkeys, ponies and horses, goats, pigs, alpacas, llamas AND Peacocks too. Take a look at their amazing website which is full of pictures for more information.
Oakwell Hall – A breathtaking venue with an immense scale and enchanting gardens surrounding it. Built by John Batt in 1583, the hall is now run as a ‘living museum’ which is full of charm, history and a little mystery as legend has it that Oakwell Hall is haunted by the ghost of William Batt. Ghosts aside, this is a great venue in West Yorkshire for a big event and gorgeous backdrop for a wedding. Take a look at their website for more information.
Oulton Hall – Oulton Hall is a grand location with landscaped gardens and a 18th century mansion which houses a luxury spa and 152 hotel rooms making it ideal for weddings and conferences alike. The sweeping driveway is enchanting and makes for the most lovely photos. You can even experience a round of golf in the club which surrounds the grounds. Inside, expect English charm and order up an afternoon tea from your butler. Pop over to the website to hear more.
