Independent praises Zouk in 50 Best Curry Houses Guide
Zouk Tea Bar & Grill has been hailed as one of the top curry houses in the country by The Independent Newspaper in its guide to the 50 Best Curry Houses in the UK. Listed as the top reataurant in the north for Indian and Pakistani cuisine, Zouk received praise for both its original Bradford venue (on Leeds Road) and its large Manchester city centre restaurant (on Chester Street just around the corner from the BBC).
The Independent stated that Zouk 'heralded a new generation of Indian and Pakistani restaurant' and added 'both the decor and the menu are stylish and contemporary here'. However, it was the quality of the food itself and the innovation of Zouk's chefs that received the highest recognition in the guide as the article went on to say 'Dishes include some healthier, slightly lighter alternatives to curry house favourites. The formula is such a hit that the owners have opened a cooking school.'
The Zouk cooking school is held once a fortnight at the Manchester restaurant for further information visit the cooking school page of the zouk website or click here.
